Kishor is a self-taught visual storyteller from Kathmandu, Nepal. He strives to explore and understand human societies through the medium of Photography. He received his bachelors degree in Business Studies from Shankar Dev Campus and joined College of Journalism and Mass Communication in 2006.
He started to developed his interest in visual storytelling when he met Nilayan Dutta, a photographer from Calcutta while studying in College of Journalism and Mass Communication in Kathmandu. He got an opportunity to attend a photography workshop with Philip Blenkinsop and Munem Wasif in 2010, which helped him build a serious interest in visual storytelling. Later he was invited to participate in Angkor Photography Workshop in Cambodia to attended a workshop under mentorship of Antoine d’Agata/ Magnum Photos. He was also nominated to submit his portfolio for prestigious Joop Swart Masterclass in 2010 and 2012.
He has been working as a freelance photographer since 2005. He worked at Drik India, a new media agency based in Calcutta as a Fredskorpset volunteer in 2008/09 and started working at photo.circle, a platform for emerging and professional photographers in Nepal from 2011.
He received a scholarship from Danish Ministry of Education to study Photojournalism at Danish School of Media and Journalism in 2013.
He is currently in Aarhus, Denmark.
